Translation disclaimer

The following text provides a courtesy translation of our data protection declaration (Datenschutzerklärung). The translation from the original text in German is provided for information purposes in accordance with the provisions of the European Data Protection Regulation. In the event of any ambiguity about the meaning of the translated terms and discrepancies between versions, the original German version prevails.

Basic

This data protection declaration is intended to inform the users of this website about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the Institut für Klimaschutz, Energie und Mobilität e.V., Magazinstraße 15–16, 10179 Berlin (website operator). This data protection declaration applies to the website operator’s website, which can be accessed under the domain www.ikem.de and the subdomains (e.g. www.academy.ikem.de).

The website operator takes your data protection very seriously and treats your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory provisions. Since new technologies and the constant further development of this website may result in changes to this data protection declaration, we recommend that you read the data protection declaration again at regular intervals.

Definitions of the terms used (e.g. “personal data” or “processing”) can be found in Art. 4 DSGVO.

Collection and processing of personal data

The website operator collects, uses and shares your personal data only if this is permitted by law or if you consent to the collection of data. You can also visit this website without providing any personal information. However, in order to improve our online services, we store your access data to this website (without personal reference). By anonymizing the data, it is not possible to draw conclusions about your person.

For users who register on our website, we additionally store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time (the username cannot be changed). Website administrators may also view and change this information.

To process invoices and transactions. IKEM uses personal information such as name, physical address, telephone number, email address, and company/institution to engage in interactions with you, including contacting you about your subscription and event participation. To communicate with you about a meeting, conference, or event. IKEM uses the personal data you provide in this registration for administering your participation in this event.
