Purposes
IKEM uses (and, where specified, shares) your personal information for the following purposes:
To process invoices and transactions. IKEM uses personal information such as name, physical address, telephone number, email address, and company/institution to engage in interactions with you, including contacting you about your subscription and event participation. We use payment information to process your registration and may need to share some of this information with credit card clearing houses, and other third parties to complete the transaction.
To communicate with you about a meeting, conference, or event. IKEM uses the personal data you provide in this registration for administering your participation in this event. We may communicate with you about meetings, conferences, or events hosted by IKEM. This may include information about the event’s content, event logistics, payment, updates, and additional information related to the event. Information you provide when registering for or participating in a conference managed or co-sponsored by parties, other than or in addition to IKEM may be shared with those parties and the treatment of such information is further subject to the privacy policies of those parties. IKEM and its conference co-sponsors may contact you after the event about the event, subsequent iterations of the event and related events.
Dealing with contact data
If you contact us as a website operator through the contact options offered, your details will be stored so that they can be used to process and respond to your enquiry. These data will not be shared with third parties without your consent.

Forms

Newsletter subscription
The website operator offers you a newsletter in which he informs you regularly about current developments in the fields of climate protection and energy as well as sustainable mobility issues. This includes new publications, event announcements, job advertisements and other offers from the Institute.
If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter, you must provide a valid e‑mail address. You will then receive an e‑mail asking you to confirm your registration. You will not receive our newsletter until this double opt-in procedure has been completed.
Your e‑mail address and other information will be stored and processed, such as opening rates and clicked links. This serves exclusively to optimize the content. It will not be shared with third parties. If you subscribe to the newsletter, you agree to receive the newsletter and to the procedures described above.
Newsletters are sent via the WordPress installation of this website and using the plugin “The Newsletter Plugin”. The data is stored and processed on our servers. They will not be transmitted to the provider of the plugin. Withdrawing and termination: You can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time and thus cancel the newsletter subscription. Your consent to receive the newsletter will expire. At the end of each newsletter you will find the link to cancel your subscription. The data of unsubscribed subscribers are regularly deleted from the database.
Rights of the user
As a user, you have the right to request free information about which personal data about you has been stored. Deletion of data
